Hello All,
Just last night I installed a weber 38dges carb on my jeep. I screwed up and needed to go to the parts store this morning to complete the install. After I obtained the desired part everything ran fine. I was cruising around my neighborhood warming up the motor and noticed while I was breaking there was a very loud clicking noise. I am having a hard time locating the source. It sounds similar to the noise that my spartan lockers make (just louder and faster) so I was wondering if it is possible that my rear locker is making this noise. Last night was the first real snowfall I have had this year and don't know if possibly one wheel is locking up when breaking and the other is spinning causing the locker to make its clicking noises.
The first thing I did was look at my brakes front and back, they looked fine, and where adjusted properly.
Has anyone had similar problems with a lunchbox locker? Or is there something else I should look at.

Make sure your rear tires have the same psi.
You got a wheel try to play 'catchup' in rotational speed.

Thanks for the suggestion,

The rear tires are the same PSI and diameter (measured from ground to top of tire). I read that if they are otherwise it will cause problems with the lockers I installed.

Since the roads are now plowed and I have better traction the noise has gone away. I bled the back brakes and didn't get any air so I am not sure what is happening. The only thing I can think of is that one wheel is locking up, causing the diff to make the noise. I am mostly def in one ear so I am horrible at locating where noises come from but all other systems look alright to me.
Since it happens in snow it will happen in mud so I think I am going to go ahead and get new drums and pads all around. (I am not sure that it is the problem as the ones on it look decent but I am a big fan of brakes working well)

If anyone has any other suggestions I am all ear.
Thanks again
