Which combination is better and why?

I have the opportunity to get a T-176 /Dana 300 very inexpensively(****) that has no problems, is it worth the time and effort to change everything out and then remake/purchase the drive shafts?

I would say it depends on the type of driving you do, If you get into the rocks, slowing down helps a lot plus getting more torque on the ground with better control. I have gone places where I would like to go even slower.

The T-176 is just over 3 inches longer than the T-150 , and will change your driveshaft lengths, affecting rear driveshaft angle. The T-150 /Dana 20 has a pretty good reputation, and the T-176 /Dana 300 will give you lower gearing but will definitely have you reworking driveshafts and possibly monkeying with rear pinon angle as well.
