Hi folks, I finally got around to checking the drivetrain oils on the jeep I bought this spring (haven't been driving it). Here is what I found:

Nice clean oil all around but... the T-15 level was about an inch below the filler plug and the Dana 20 was hugely overflowing. I know these two units are not sealed from each other so maybe the oil from the T-15 has made its' way into the Dana 20 . The T-15 fill plug is significantly higher.

So the question is: should I add oil to the tranny or will that just cause the Transfer Case to be far too full? Is about 1 inch down going to provide enough oiling for the tranny?

Thanks!
