I know. Kinda worried about that. The casters give it more height too...

I knew the SOA would raise it up, but the CJ5 was SOA and not that high. I got Rubicon Express YJ springs with 1.5" lift. Didn't want the extra 1.5" but I did want Rubicon Express because I've heard how smooth they are. These are also made just for SOA, and have the eye reversed for it. They had a 5 leaf version, and a 6 leaf heavy duty version. I got the 5 leaf. They should settle, and they should run soft. I could find no standard height YJ springs from Rubicon Express.

I hope.

There's no real weight in it with just an empty tub, so she'll settle. I do plan on loading her down... I was only gonna run 35s (33s on her now) but with the height and the extra axle width, I'm pretty sure I can go 37s.

Looking nice

As your front spring compresses the front axe moves forward. You may want to take this into account as you set this up.

Thanks.

I got to thinking... 1980 frame, '76 tub, '77 CJ5 fenders, '79 CJ5 windshield, Dodge truck drivetrain, YJ springs, Ford Super Duty shock towers, Army truck lights... I think it has to be named Frankenstein.

I love the tail lights. Do you need to worry about side marker lights in the rear? I would have to here to pass inspection (not running antique plates).
