really nice work on the bracket, looks great

Dude, its been like a day and you haven't done anything...

HA - Did to..... LOL

Got the coil mounted, coil wire cut, ends crimped on, and in place.

It was dark by the time I got done so the flash on the phone is a bit harsh....

On a slightly related note, I’ve been trying to find spark plug wire looms that will mount to the small tabs on the valve covers...

The one I have in that position works, just doesn’t fit on the tab.

Now, I have no idea why it took me so long to think of this, but I just finished drawing one up and if I can get our little 3D printer to play nice, I’ll have a couple by next week. We’ll see what tomorrow holds......

Thanks for the link - yeah, they might - depends on the width of the slot. The tab it .875 wide and not very tall. And I’m picky - wanted black to match the rest of em....... [emoji16]

Saw those - problem is the 4 way doesn’t have a mounting slot.....

Another option, I found these at summitracing

Went out to finally install the radiator- realized I had not yet worked out the safety latch issue...... a PO of the fiberglass hood had cut a slot for the safety latch to grab, but the slot was just a tab too far to the left, preventing the hook from grabbing. Would be dumb to put the radiator in before fixing this issue (not that I'm against doing dumb stuff...) so, started on an aluminum plate with a slightly smaller slot.

Now to get the holes countersunk, surfaces sanded, add some paint, and install. Also got the safety latch assembly painted as well. Hopefully get this put to bed tomorrow....

Alrighty..... Got the latch plate finished, and rather than paint it, I just hit it with clear.....

So now the latch and plate actually play nice together.

Once I get done with the underside of the hood, it will get a good coat of bedliner like the firewall, masking off for the aluminum plate. It will be epoxied to the hood along with the screws. Getting this done allowed for the radiator install...

No more redneck two-tone pulleys and fan peeking out from behind the grille......

And I'm not totally pleased with the coil bracket looking like a muffler clamp, but since it is, I'll leave it for now. At least it looks better than the factory bracket......

Speaking of coil bracket - Got it all putt together the other night and could not for the life of me get the cap to snap in place. I pushed, squeezed, cussed, all but a C-clamp. Major WTF moment - then realized the connector was hitting the bracket. After a nice full force face palm, raised the coil up a quarter inch, and it popped right on..... Geez

While I appreciate the help with the spark plug wire looms, I thought I’d use the one I drew up in Autocad to get my puny little 3D printer going again. Here’s the first trial run after resigning the printer head:

This roll is filament sat out in the room all summer, and being hygroscopic, is really too wet to get good results - so I switched to a new roll of black - here’s the “raft” (sticks the actual part to the table)

Gonna print a couple extra bounces and triples as well....

Got the sides cleaned up - tweak the edges a bit, and then an Acetone fuming. Printed off a few 2, 3, and 4 holers without the slot in the bottom. Gone test this one for fit as soon as I get home....

Only on a printed motor. I went ahead and printed a 401...... figured go big or go home. LOL

Yep - the slots are there. I was sitting at work pondering the thickness of the tab. I knew they were .875 wide, so I guessed .060. It’s a perfect slip fit. The before and after pics look almost identical, but it bugged me that the wires with the clip just flopped around. Not now [emoji16].
