I checked Collins Bros and didn't see it, but that site is an awesome resource! thanks for pointing it out to me.

Call them they sell used parts as well, probably will be high priced just to warn you, Dennis has to pay for all trips around the US with Gas Monkey

Hey here I am!

I think I ended up having to take the bracket from the 34 and turning it upside down & backwards, then moving the little knob around on the throttle on the carb. If you still need help I can try to snap a picture when I get home.

I did the same thing. Used the 34 bracket upside down and bent it to work.

I am about to drop a rebuilt Iron Duke into my 1980 CJ7 . I was initially going to replace the carb with the weber 32-36 but after reading a little bit on the weber 38, i may go that route.
Im not finding much info on this carb other than this thread. Does anyone have any comments about the weber 38, either positive or negative?

Thanks,
Chip

After messing with both the 34 and 38, don't go down that road. The 38 has the same problems that make my Jeep stink like gas when you let off the throttle and my wife hates riding in it and therefore resents my second love. Don't be like me, buy a Holly. Everyone who has one loves and recommends it. I wish I could go back in time.

Also, I had to send my first 38 back and just recently had a starting issue due to the throttle plates sticking.

Thank you. That's excellent information. Which model Holley do you recommend ?

Unfortunately I'm unqualified as I've never had one. I forget the model everyone talks about around here, might be 4400 or something. Honestly I'd call Holly and see what they recommend. What most have for their i6 might be too much for the Duke.
