Transmission and transfer case swap

Hello boys and girls, I have a 74 CJ5 , AMC 304 , 3 speed that I am going to redo this fall and winter. A friend gave me a NP435 Transmission with a NP 205 Transfer Case out of a 70's F-AMC 150 . What will I need to do to match my AMC 304 to this combo? Thanks, Diffosjeep

The NP435 is an excellent HD tranny. It is easy to put the ford tranny in your jeep. You don't need an adapter.

One more thing: You will need the drive shaft lengths modified.

Oh and yet another thing: the skid plate. You may have to move it back and drill new holes to mount it. Or you can build your own cross member. Maybe something like what I made:
