Does anyone in the Florida Panhandle, or even lower Alabama know of a trustworthy spot to have the T6 Transmission rebuilt? I’m in the Pensacola area.

So, are you referring to a Jeep Transmission ? Never herd of a T6 tranny. Borg-Warner makes a T-5 , 5 speed, Tremec makes several "T" series. If it just needs rebuilding Novak sells kits and parts to do DIY. it's not that hard to do. I just did my T177 and Dana 300 .

Sorry, and thanks for the response. It's a T-176 with a 4-speed. Adding on, the Transfer Case is a Dana 300 , which is a little difficult to shift into 4WD . I saw a clip on YouTube saying it's known to be a little difficult to shift into 4WD, and that a longer stick gear shift lever helps alleviate that. Any thoughts or opinions? As far as rebuilding goes, I've never rebuilt a Transmission , which is why I'm looking for a good recommendation.

Gotta start somewhere ;). I havent looked , but I bet theres a couple youtube videos of your exact Transmission to help you along. Take pictures of everything along the way for reference before and while dissaembling. I found a twin stick alleviated my Transfer Case shifting problems . (Link)-> JB Custom Fabrication LLC -<

While I don't have that same brand of twin stick, the setup is great for shifting the Dana 300 .

Yeah I used the above video, very helpful.

Thanks for the link, I think the hydraulic press was a deterrent since I don’t have one. It certainly doesn’t look terrible to do. Thanks for the feedback on the twin stick too and the Dana 300 . I’m definitely getting one.

A hydraulic press is not that expensive at Horrible Fright.
But it does suck up space for the amount of use in your shop/garage.

Word of Advice and Safety!
When Pressing Ball Bearings,
Put some type of Heavy Rag over
the Bearing while under pressure.
I've have them implode and 30 caliber Steel Balls are NOW Flying everywhere !!

Much appreciated advice my friend. I certainly don’t want anything flying at me or the CJ.
