Need to replace the ones on the rear prop shaft on the 6, what are you guys using? and where are you getting them from. I prefer the non greaseable ones as I'm certain they are stronger. Only got 2 years out of the last ones and to be honest they haven't seen much use so can't of been a quality product.

I use Spicer u-joints.

Well again I am having the same problem as usual I cannot find an application list but yes it looks like the DANA SPICER 1310 series u joint is correct for your driveshafts and I added DANA to the front as I see some of the cheap chinese junk u joints are using the word "spicer" but they are not the correct manufacturer its Dana Corporation the same one that built your front axle Dana Spicer 5-153X - DANA SPICER® 153X Series 1310 Drive Shaft U-Joint - Quadratec

I'm pretty sure you want the 1310 series. Here's where I get mine most of the time. They do have the non-greaseable. I don't know if they ship overseas though.
Drivetrain America - DRIVELINE-

I am surprised that these are not available in Ireland. what is the parts house situation for you. Do you have local suppliers for oil, filters, belts and such? Who makes axles for British Leland?? When you said you only got 2 years of service, how did they fail? If they were greasable, did you?:D

I am sure there are a lot of things we in the states take for granted.

Don't be surprised at all, apart from the Jeep being American, Ireland is probably the worst place I know of to find spare parts for vehicles. For one the majority of Irish drivers are first generation drivers (gifted drivers licenses) and drive round in small toy box cars (Nissan Micra etc etc) so if your vehicle is not small, European or Japanese you will not find anyone able to help you. Ireland signed up to the whole EU thing and part of that was to scrap old vehicle (sent to the crusher) so in 1996 all vehicles older than 10 years were made almost impossible to be legally driven on the road and thus forced people into new cars. So there are no old scrap dealers. Then if you do want something half normal the guy behind the parts desk hasn't got a clue on what they are selling and wouldn't know the exhaust from a radiator (unless its shown on his computer screen). So unfortunately all my parts are imported from the US, I get fleeced on duty charges and the whole "we don't ship outside the US" but hey that's all part of having a great old Jeep in a non Jeep country. Sorry for my Sunday night rant but sometimes I do wonder why I do it sometimes.

Thanks for all the help on the UJ's, the past ones were supplied by a driveline specialist (over here) when I had my prop-shafts built so more than likely they are some cheap Chinese knock off, they were non greaseable also. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the right ones as its a little far to be sending things back if the weren't.

So I guess I'll be getting some 5-153x Spicer greaseable UJ's, think I may get 4 as I'll have spares for the front prop if it goes in the future.
