electric fan keeps looking better and better.:D

I did this a couple of times and I welded a chain onto the skid plate with a bolt on the other end through a hole in the bell housing. The engine could no longer move forward on the mounts in a quick stop/impact.

I still think the electric fan is a better solution.:chug:

Took the radiator out since it now has a nice BIG hole from the fan....

on this the motor did not come forward the radiator came back from 75-80MPH head wind, it broke the top left mount thats tack welded to the top of the tank, so it got loose and blew back into the fan. already got a new radiator comng in the mail..3 row for $125 new

where did you find a deal like that?? I just paid $180 and thought I got a great deal.

I think they still have a few miles left on them.

Put it in four wheel drive and kicked in the lockers. Went out back into the pasture where the snow is 12 to 16 inches deep and flung snow everywhere. Who says lockers don't work well in the snow.

Honestly, I hope I never know...

one more small step, New radiator and twin fans are in , wired and seem to be working as planned. I will have to admit that the little 10" fans sing a bit higher than the larger electric fans I have used. Have to see how they do at crawl speed at temperatures higher than 70 deg.
seems like a lot of empty between the radiator and the water pump.:D

Drove to Rhode Island to pick up a decently-priced hood. (Mine has a big wowee where it got slammed into the windshield frame.) The fella threw in a second hood with some rust spots on it. Heckuva nice guy.

Gonna install this neat gas-shock hood lift on it: Rugged Ridge 11252.50 Hood Lift Kit for CJ Jeep Wrangler 1972-2006 : Amazon.com : Automotive . Tore my rotator cuffs nearly a year ago and sometimes that steel hood seems kinda heavy.

Anybody need a beater hood?

Me and the dog drove into town, gassed it up. Discussed with Dad the swing out tire rack his building. Enjoyed the day.

I have not been out for a drive for a week or so and it rained for the last couple of days, so we went out muddin today and had some fun. 0209131526 - Jeep-CJ Gallery
