What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Dropped off my 44 housing and long side axle at TKH to get narrower.
Made a high steer arm. Put new ball joints and spindle studs in my knuckles.
As soon as Terry gets the housing and axle done it will be time to start the change over.:)
Only have 11 days to get this done for the up coming ride.

Started it for the first time this month and since the wife is gone until wed. and we have a storm comming I put it in the garage.

I made and installed a new suction line to the fuel pump today. Looked great! I impress myself most of the time though...:D

started install of classic sony radio complete withtape player. ran the wife and 15 y/o daughter into town, she hates riding in it. So when I came back for them I took the doors off to irritate her. I'm so mean.

More heat shrink and routing of wires for the new harness install. I realized I routed the fuel sending unit wire all the was to the back when mine is under front seat. Had to dig it out of the heat shrink and the seal the cutout.

Started to build shart for it
I painted it not thinking I still had more welding to do

 She will remember that trip the rest of her life. It could have been to top ....right:poke:

I'm telling you. There's a bikini top in its future. I think it needs to be the go to vehicle all summer. :D
Otherwise another trip to town with the wife, another jeep ride. unfortunetly the tractor is still down,so that's priority.
But summit did finally ship my body mounts and spring bushings, then I drooled over Lunati's web site. I really want a new cam to go with my 4.o head.

Got the cj plates and insurance today , and I am ready to roll.:madjeep:

another drive to town with the wife and dogs for ice cream.
More importantly the big brown truck brought me a box of goodies. I have new energy suspension body mounts, spring bushings and tranny mount. Only been waiting a month for them, they shipped the motor mounts back in march. Oh well i'm happy. :D
Oh and the tractors fixed so back to the jeep.

Getting ready for summer wheeling. Removed the left front fender and cut out some rotten metal, welded in new. It's a good thing I don't do sheet metal work for a living! Now the fender is not flopping around. Replaced a rear axle shaft that had bent flange ( a one piece axle ) and had chewed the seal. Checked fluids, changed engine oil and filter. Still have some misc. things to finish up. Then I am ready for the season.

Left it in the garage for the next 10 days while I head to Florida! Going to miss wrenching on something.

Sent from my probably outdated electronic device, more than likely tracked by our government.

Finished the engine section of the wiring.

Took the cj over to TKH Fab. who narrowed my front Dana 44 from a 78 Cherokee Chief . Going over in the morning to start changing the 30 over to the 44.
It's a cj what could go wrong.

Worked on getting the 30 out and the 44 in. I had to take the afternoon off to go to a wedding but still got a lot done,
The 44 is in and put together out to the rotors but the banjo bolts are the wrong size so it's off the parts store in the morning.
Hoping to get it finished tomorrow if everything goes well with the steering.

finally got the radio hooked up with one whole speaker, but hey I got music :chug:
made 25 bucks off of one those other jeepers. Got a text looking for a 4.0 piston, and viola' I had the junk block my head came off.
Also pulled the valve springs and cleaned the valves, gonna see if I can lap in or if I need a full valve job.

I'm done for the day. The 44 is all done except for mounting the locker switch (have to make a bracket at work) and putting the tires back on. I'll do that after work tomorrow and take it for a test ride.
Hopefully everything goes good. I'll let you know.
