What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Drove it home down the back roads, everything seems fine so far.
This weekends wheel'n trip should tell the whole story. :D
The front is setting 3" higher with the new RE springs than it was with the (new) superlift springs  Hopefully they will get broke in and settle some.

I got the u-bolt flip from Dynatrac. I had them on my 30 also and now the 8.8. I got a set from Rocky Road for the 20 but the dynatrak is much better quality

Dynatrac - Confidence to Explore

:)Dog, Sounds good...................I'll check that out!.....I was more curious what the plate looked like that grabs that short end where it clamps over the cast housing.

:)Dog, That Jeep looks like its ready to tear up some Real Estate..........
So do you have E-Lockers both front and back?
For some reason I thought you had ARBs
:D:D:D:D

I didn't take any pic's but it's a .5" plate with 2 perpendicular plates welded on with arcs cut in them that match the radius of the cast in perch.
One of them is taller than the other, and one arc is larger than the other.
Clear as mud right.:D

E-locker in front (the 30 was a truetrak) the rear has a Detroit.
Can't wait to try it out and see how it works (and holds up)

Took the CJ out for a 20 mile ride. Waiting all winter was so worth it. I can not explain how much I enjoyed this first real ride. I got so many thumbs up. It sure makes you proud to be a cj owner.

Terry, I went back through my pic's and found this one where you can see a side view of the top plate.

:)You always take good care of your Iron.............You should be fine.
Looking forward to a report on that e-locker , although I have heard good things about them and take some pictures!

:)Dog, What did they make those radius pieces out of? I guess there just welded on that plate huh?
I'll price out a set tomorrow...........see if its worth my time to just buy them rather than build! Thanks

IIRC looked like 5/16 (maybe) plate, just welded on. I was kinda rushed for time so I just bought mine. They are $200 for the set, 2 tops, 2 bottoms and 9/16" u-bolts.

I like these too. I could make the top plate , it is the u bolt I have no source for. any ideas?

:)IO........Out here in California we have Betts Springs that will bend any U-bolt while you wait............Your around the Dallas area , plenty of Trucks down there I'm sure that there is a spring / U-bolt manufacture near there..........fact is over in Irving off North Loop 12 there is the old Dallas Peterbilt I think they call it Rush Truck Centers now......972-445-7505 talk to someone in parts they should be able to tell you who in the area is building spring packs and u-bolts.......If they know nothing try Truett Worral in Dallas 214-637-1230.
Whatever axle you have your just ordering "Square U-bolts" dimension wise for that Dana 30 or 44 axle...........I do like the 9/16" bolt size versus the 7/16 or 1/2" that came stock!

The mount for the 30 was made different, I have that off so if you want info on that one PM me.

:)Looks good what did they do at the base where the U-bolts wrap around? Is there also a plate there with some groves in it?

I also sent you a PM

We both need to make a list so we can swap some junk, Oh I meant high quality jeep parts.:D

Nothing. All I did was walk by it several times today. BUTTTTTTT I went and picked up a 20 ft stick of 2x4x3/16 box tubing for my new rear bumper with tire swing away.

Took the rear tires and brakes all apart to swap rear wheel brake cylinders. Were marked wrong when I installed the first time.:(

So, after an hour and a half, I was right where I started. But the brake lines will make up now!:chug:
