What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Installed new water pump.

Decided it is time to address the oil leak(s?). Bought a floor jack and another set of jack stands.

Put on the passanger fender, wired up, plastic tube heat shrunk up, wire bundled up, cleaned up, vacuumed up (actually installed some new vacuum lines, but had to keep the theme going), didn't scerew much of anything up. Generally things are looking up.

.... Todays program was brought to you by the word ... "UP"

Drained the oil preparing to drop the oil pan. Took the wheels off so I could get a good look at the brakes. Turns out i have one hub that seems to be locked even though it shouldn't be. I'll have to take it apart to see what's up.

With a little help put the hard top on

Cleaned the spider webs out of the inside of the hardtop, and the six or so months of dirt off of the windows inside and out.

Took apart the passenger door to figure out what/where the strange noise was coming from. Found that the inside cross member has broken loose, JB Weld to the rescue...

Happy to report I finally identified my tran as a T-176 , NOT an SR4 . :D
Also got some tools for my birthday including the floor light hand built by my son-in-law.

adjusted the carb and checked the plugs. Nice and clean.

Finally looked at my horn. Thought I had a faulty relay, ordered one. Later took 12 colts from battery to horn with no sound:confused:, guess I will be ordering a horn to boot.

I changed my plugs and after searching for hours for a skip that came and went quite erratically just happen to hold my shop light in the right angle and saw a crack in the distributor cap. Replaced it and skip is all gone:chug:

I have now joined a group I thought I'd never be part of. My Jeep now has a body lift, yep I can now, when amongst hard core Jeepers, lay out the impressive stat that my Jeep has a 1/2" body lift. Basically something is a bit off and the front mount is too high, adding another stock puck lifts it high enough to adjust the front mount to make the grill just right.

Been a while since posted here and wasn't done today but thought I would share my last project a custom console and shifter housing

Nice! I took half the bolts out of the oil pan. Still need to take the motor support off yet.
