What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Started the heater blower upgrade. Broke the heater core. Need to decide if I want the new aluminum one or see if I can get my copper and brass one repaired.

Pulled the body mounts off my '75 CJ5 . They were pretty hard and smashed after 40 years. Will replace with Energy Suspension Polyurethane mounts.

pulled the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l head yesterday. Dropped the new 4.0 head on today and torqued down.

Done installing my new Borla cat-back. Installation is fairly straightforward. I bought it from 4wheelonline, at a good price. This exhaust is not too loud but sounds nice in 4th gear. Will post a video for the sound next time.

continued with the 4.0 head install.

busted a :censored: bolt off in the head. Going too slow already.

got up this morning and it was a toasty 40 deg. so I drove to work in the CJ.

the drive home with 70 deg and sunshine was the high point of the year, so far.:D

reassembly continues. spent time modifying the power steering bracket to clear the header tube. also discovered that i need a egr for the bottom of the divorced intake, so I can block off the hole.

97 4.0 head. Buddy slung a rod. I got the motor or helping swap it out. Not installing the FI back in it.

Made some small progress with the refurbishment and installation of my Porter & Reed cab.

good looking top. Got any more pics of it?

Tested and cleaned up the coil/wire threads & mounting studs, washers & nuts, and installed on the 2A.

I like the way it looks too.
The way it's constructed makes it very light weight, but it's also a little fragile. The years, and hard use have had an effect, but I think I'll be able to correct those deficiencies.

I do have lots of other pictures, but they show mostly the same thing.
I'm looking forward to when I can take a picture that includes installed doors and windows.

If there's anything in particular you want to see, I'll get the camera out for you.

any would be good. Looks like it's built like a aircraft fuselage.

I win then. Still have the hard top frozen to the driveway.

I concede.
I'm never any good at contests, but I'll bet your windshield has glass in it.:)
