What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Made the first road test with the newly installed Porter & Reed cab.

Started turning mine into a lowrider...(comparatively speaking to how tall it used to be, anyway) Went back SUA, did a chop/cut/rebuild of the front axle to make it a driver drop (was a pass. drop Chevy Dana 44 ), flipped the Dana 300 ....All because I had very little clearance near the Transmission pan with my front driveshaft. What a snowball effect....

guess you don't want to hear that it's almost 80 today then. sorry just had to. don't worry it's heading your way. slowly but heading your way.

i will admit it's weird to still see snow piled up in the parking lots and it be 80. you know i had to drive through a few of them.:D

It's warmer here now then it has been since December. A pleasant 39* today.

Broke out the shorts and t-shirts yesterday! According to the cheap thermometer on the back porch, it's nearly 83 degrees right now.

Top's coming off today and won't be back on 'till maybe November :D!!

Yeah, I'll be in Ga this July, not looking forward to that....

i took the top off and cruised her around in the 70 degree weather we had today:chug:

Me 2-:D
Drove mine run'n a bunch of errands in 82* weather-

Cleaned blood off of the engine and tools. Got a good amount of wiring done.

Now lets be specific here ...... it was your blood , right? Blooded myself this last weekend while working on setting up my differential. There was an unseen bur on the u-joint knuckle, spewed, then dribbled blood here there and about everywhere before the finger was washed and bandaged. Darned thing is in a bad spot and still hurts from time to time, but I'm a man about it, no crying and whimpering .... well maybe a little whimpering :)

Good point. Yes, you have to watch how you say things...;) Mine, only mine.

Started the tear down process to get ready for rewire along with bodywork/paint.

i added these black details to my hood. i have to clean up the over spray but still turned awesome.

the number under USA is the current number of POW/MIA's currently missing. we're planning on doing her up as an old military willy's but with the unit #'s and such being POW/MIA related. as a tribute to those we've left behind but are "not forgotten".:chug:

I LOVE this. Thank you for sharing. This is exactly the direction that I was looking to go with my CJ, since I'm kind of starting over with it. I wanted to include something to mention those that never came home, as I have a few brothers in arms that were KIA.

Again, thanks so much from a Marine Vet.

Finished wiring. Tried starting. Got starter and fuel pump to go but no fire.

Pulled my shortened steering column. The wheel is now high enough to clear my legs when getting in and out of the CJ. Also installed a working horn button. Can't wait to honk at the next Lexus that cuts me off.

Drilled my carb adapter for pcv port and mounted up my carb. Takes the place of an adapter and spacer with port so my air cleaner doesn't hit the hood.
