tore the front end down to install front bushings and longer shackles. only to find that both front eyes are bent open. this would explain the springs sitting bow legged. more parts on order. Also continued with fabbing up the old exhaust to mate with the 4.0 header.

New paint after sandblasting. A stock, period correct for a Renegade , black pin stripe will be added. Next will be mounting the new 35 inch MTRs after the lift is installed.

Not a bad lookin' 7. The seam in the back is a bit bubbly, could be hiding real problems. The rest looks good. Oh by the way, the most trouble some future repair I see in your picture are the cracks in your floor. When you get elevation separation like that there's subgrade trouble brewin'. Do you have a lot of clay in your soil?

Yeah there is some rot for sure, the floors were done but not well, they will need to be replaced. They welded panels over the old rot. But I only paid 750$ for it so not to bad. I'm trying to get it running before I jump into the other stuff. It's going to be a long project.

$750 - if it runs, you stole it, good deal!

It was running in December, supposedly the fuel pump was bad. I just hooked up the one he bought, it's turning over but not firing up. It's got the 4.0 renix. He was having fuel issues and said the filter was full when he took it off.

About as excited as one could be to get a dipstick and have it installed.

All new belts and some fresh 15w40 Shell Rotella. Found an Accel Super Coil while cleaning the garage , may throw that at it as well.

Still going over my "Spring Inspection". Found my front driveshaft is toast. Worse yet found I dont have the spare one I thought I did. Time to start texting / pm'ng my fellow parts hoarders. ;)

Stopped by Willys works and picked up some parts. Now to get them home. Should be light and small enough I can suitcase them home on the plane.

Thank you for supporting my favorite Jeep shop. ..... :) I suppose that's a little narrow since I only know this one personally. I've called a few that were less than personable though.

Started working on the CJ, then the Tax man punched me right in the eye. Ouch! I've never had to pay in my life, I really don't have that much money, suddenly I guess I'm wealthy, no raise in 10 years, no matter what they say about inflation everything in life costs more and suddenly I have to pay more to the Tax man. I'd drink myself into oblivion, but I honestly can't afford too.

Right there with you, brother. No raises in my organization since 2006 and none in sight for the near future. Cost of living raises are a thing of the past. We now have young folks working with us that don't even know what a cost of living raise was! They've never heard of it.

We used to get an anniversary raise every year but one of our former Governors eliminated that system. Now if we manage to get a raise, it's because the State Legislature passes it and the Gov. signs off on it. The last raise I got amounted to a little more than two dollars every pay check because I was already near the top of my scale. Some of the new hires nearly doubled their pay 'cause the were at the bottom of the scale.
