Since I've broken my front driveshaft 2x in the last 2 years I thought it might be time to upgrade. I upgraded my rear with one of these a few years back and have had no issues with it. Apparently it will make my Jeep do things like this. :)

Reviewing tires in a 33x10.5 size after getting a flat in my KMs.

KO2 opinions from anyone?

I've been a narrow fan for a long time running those KMs and the LTB's in 10.5 but I love my new swamper 12.5 Irok NDs

That is a really cool aggressive tire. Saw your trail pics and videos and can see why'd they do great there. I was really trying to make an argument for myself to get the KM2s but since I probably won't see dirt for awhile I went ahead with the KO2s. Found a deal at $145 a tire at 33x10.5 so I couldn't pass it up.

My other two vehicles need tires as well. It's starting to get old...

Looks like an interesting trail. Is that TJ Dave up there on the bank?

Yup, that's Dave. He and I snuck out Abe played hooky Tuesday and checked out a trail we call stone house. It used to be a mildly rutted woods road - the recent record rain turned it into a pretty serious trail. We had to stop and turn around winching out of the trail into the woods with one jeep winching on the roll cage to keep from rolling. Up above the photos are a series of 4-6' deep 2' wide ravines at the bottom of the trail in the middle or on the sides making it impassible to all but a buggy if that. We are going to head back in with some tools to try and repair enough that we can get through.

Nice!

Nice yes, maybe I should move to the other side of the country. I have seen a lot of great trails over here get closed up over the years. Thanks for sending them in.

Got new shoes for Oscar. Smooth like butter. No road noise which sucks because now I can hear everything else.

Was shocked to see my reverse lights working when the mechanic backed it up. How long has that been going on?

Some more from the top side today. My hockey stick is 6' for scale. Leaves coming in nice color.

Took "The Witch" in for emissions. Of course she failed, but barely. Took her to my carburetor guy to make her pass. So, why does this almost always happen..... On the way back to the emissions place she smelled horribly of fuel. At the emissions place they panicked, fuel was pouring on to the floor. So, we ran to the parts place. Oddly enough the short hose to the fuel filter was cracked. 10 minutes under the CJ and we were on the way back to emissions. This time she passed. But she still isn't running correctly. After some snooping I need to replace a gasket, but the worst part is, the throttle shaft is sucking air. Honestly I'm not happy with my carb. guy. Less than 2500 miles ago I spend a lot of money to have him rebuild the carb. Did he even bother looking at the shaft to see if it was leaking? Errrrrrrrrrrr!

I rolled down the sides of my soft top and got it all snapped down and hung the doors for fall (or emergency winter use).

:( Sad time of the year. Took ours out last weekend, but winter storage looms not far on the horizon for us too.

I'll be sleeping in a tent next weekend in NH :D
Figure I have another 2 months of good wheeling

Our weather has been pretty good here so far. But I'm south of you. I hope to be in a tent next weekend as well but the bikini and safari top days are probably done for the year.

Backing down off a steep (vertical) ledge climb I banged hard and somehow managed to flex the radiator into my fan - awesome - not.

I think my jeep is ready for some winter storage wound licking.
