What did you do to or with your CJ today?
I drove my CJ to work today, 61 miles one-way. That's an hour of 70mph soft top slapping / soft door shaking / gas guzzling tranquility. :D

This naturally means I'll drive my CJ home today, for 61 more miles and another hour of 70mph soft top slapping / soft door shaking / gas guzzling tranquility. :D

Nice to stretch its legs a bit before the long winter park.

Didn't do it today, but last week. Towed a farm wagon in a parade.uploadfromtaptalk1445043653347.webpuploadfromtaptalk1445043686453.webp

A sign of the times. Thank goodness Caesar had his cell phone, you never know when the ancient Romans will need to march on Troy. ..... Sorry, doing the parade thing in your CJ is very cool.

Finished up my steering box and radiator install. Awaiting a new set of greasable shackles on the brown truck.f7674f8bcf2ba004f2f35e8c4a7b9c6b.webp

Had to drive around in the remnants of a hurricane with a bikini top and doors. Surprisingly stayed relatively dry.

After the rain powerwashed the exterior, I waxed it.

Wheeled NH Saturday.
A little cool in the morning 35*, warmed up after lunch to 45*
Sun was out most of the day, had a great time.

Oh, those foolish things, took me a few months to get used to them.
Every time I got myself in a steep off-camber I thought I was going to flop. :D

Went to our annual Spooktober creepy crawl at one of the members property. Great steep ledge climbs through the trees. My CJ has had its fair share of carnage this year and last weekend I managed to rip a break hose, blow a hole in my vac booster, and put a hole in my gas tank. Yikes, just got done replacing my radiator, front shackles, and upgrading my steering mount.....$$$$

Not necessarily today but on Sat I finished the Big Daddy Offroad tie-rod and drag link swap to include flipping it. Today I used it to assist with yard work.

More bling for my engine compartment in today. Need to size up the brake lines and pull the MC off to bench bleed. Makes the pedal real high do I'll need to cut the linkage a bit and weld it back. Going to test run it as is though to make sure I have enough pedal to take some out. Anyone done this mod? Cheers.

Be careful cutting and welding the rod wooly. Some of them are cast. I don't know if all are but mine was. If you or someone that you know can weld cast, You'll be all set.

Thanks for the heads up CM. Is this the same setup you have? How much did you cut out? I'm thinking only about .25"-50" will do it.

Spent some time filling flare screws, side marker lights, and miscellaneous holes in the tub.

As you can see the PO laid the bondo on heavy

Also trimmed the fender wells and added material to get it back to factory strength.
