What did you do to or with your CJ today?

What's your MC setup?

Wooly

Asking me Wooly? Mine is stock power brake set up. Nothing fancy.

Yep. Did you bench bleed that MC before installing? I had a persistent soft brake pedal after I switched to a YJ setup. I tried everything but could ditch the spongy brake. I finally went with a corvette MC and double diaphragm booster. Brakes work awesome now.

Today I installed a new headlamp switch.

Last week my headlights went out at just before dusk on a grocery run.

About two years ago, the dashboard lights stopped dimming... they were just on or off.

I got the headlights working by vigorously actuating the plunger after a liberal dousing of Corrosion-X. Even so, I took the warning seriously and ordered a new switch.

When I looked at the new switch it took a moment to recognize the rheostat. Now it feels down-right luxurious to dim them.

No. I did not bench bleed the MC as I never removed it. It stayed connected to the tub the whole time during the frame swap process.

I have looked at the conversion to the dual. And may be headed that way. Thanks.

Finished stripping the tub
Metal filled 2 dozen holes
Laid a sealer coat
I'll scuff up the sealer, and add a thin coat of plastic

Pushed the CJ back into the garage :(

Thanks, H2 rims with PB Rockers 39.5 17"
The tire is taller and wider then I wanted, but they were too good of a deal to pass up.

Sorry. I got mine out today for its first real drive since the frame swap.

Drove it to the shop for an alignment. Stopped and got gas first. Haven't seen a gauge read full in a while.

When I dropped it off this morning I noticed the horn did not work. No Beep. :dung:. Won't pass inspection. So they are seeing what is up. I heard a click in the relay and a whimper from the horn. Probably the horn is gone. No worries. I can deal with that.

They just called me and said I will need new u-joints on the front axle soon. I wonder if I can swap the ones from the axle I removed.

Thanks, :D

On the way home after getting the alignment and getting it inspected, i noticed that the voltmeter was reading about 10. Not good. Suspicions confirmed as I was pulling into the driveway. The radio cut out. Stopped and turned the Jeep off. Now I need to jump it to put it into the garage. So now I need to find out why the alternator is not charging the battery. Grrrr

Changed the oil and inflated the tires back to normal PSI. Taking her out to the creek where the horses run free!yeti_edition_003.jpg

Nice to see the Yeti edition again. Hiding that out in the open in Arizona is just brilliant. :D

Could not stand the look or the fact that I banged my head on the top whenever I leaned in. So tonight I installed the front half of my 2.5" lift.

And lovely squat at the rear right now.

Hopefully I will get the rear done tomorrow.

Three inches of lift after adding 2.5" lift springs. That means the stock ones were :dung:. In fact, this corner was inverted.

Haha. You know it. I had these 31s with the 2.5" springs before the frame swap. But the 1" lift I built into the body mounts seem to make a difference.

I upped the gears to 3.31s. Not sure how fbI will go up to 33s or not but 32s at least. But I have a good amount of tread left. 40k miles on these tires so I am sure new ones will come soon enough though.

What do you think? 32s or 33s?
