Today I finished up installing my Speedeay headlight harness, new Sylvania Silverstar H6024 headlights and new Rugged Ridge chrome bezels.

This kit was a god send for sure (thanks all!).

The brightness and crispness of the light is fantastic.

As we all know, pictures won't do it justice but this should give you some idea as to the color and clarity. Please disregard where I dumped my onboard tool bag in front of the Jeep by accident.

This project was another reminder that please, if you do anything, hook up a positive and negative dristribution block on the firewall. I put a couple on this spring, and it makes jobs like this much easier and cleaner.

Looks great! Glad it was worth it to you. I love mine. And I went with the TJ lights with IPF fat boy halogen bulbs. Awesome lighting.

Park the old girl in the garage till I can get her a new Hart. Good news is I have a block getting build. All I need now is the money to pay for it. So of to work I go! Hi ho, hi ho, it's of to work I go.

Put the soft-top back on.
Now I'm ready for Winter. :D

Bought and installed new tires for the '73 CJ5 - Swamper TSLs in Q78-15. Old TSL 15/35-15 were dry rotted and wouldn't hold air anymore...have been on the CJ5 since 1987! Taking the CJ5 on a wheeling trip next weekend so i also did a little clean up and maintenance on it too.

Also went to look at a basket case '46 CJ2a today...couldn't pass it up for the $300 asking price.

Re-secured my ebrake handle with a better bolt and support underneath. Also noticed that a wire to my e-fans was shredded as it fell and hit the alternator. Glad I have 2 fans. So I fixed that mess and re-secured the wires away from harm.

Worked more on the impala today. Spreading the love.

I'm thinking resto-mod - update the suspension with YJ springs all around, install later axles and brakes, find a 4-speed, and relocate the steering box.

Same idea I like later Dana 44 front and rear with an Sm465 4 speed and a Saturn Overdrive on the D18 Transfer Case and a little more tire

lol I piled some empty boxes on mine

Even a Dana 30 would be a significant upgrade for the D25 front. I'm planning to swap out the locked Dana 30 /Dana 44 axles in my '73 with a pair of D60s sometime soon so that might be an easy no-brainer. Got 2 Dana 20 transfer cases and a T-18 lying around here too.

That's my wife's job around here. Actually, she piles more stuff around it rather than in it. Whenever she comes home while I'm workin on it and she sees all her stuff piled in the driveway she'll move it :thumb:

Man I thought my wife was the only one that did that. I think she knows I will clean it.

Nope - no monopoly here..... Heck, I had to quit using the word "Jeep" for a good year or so. I was sure my wife had an app on her phone that let her know every time I said it so she could immediately text me a honey do list. My neighbor and I started calling it a Yugo and it worked

Ya my wife pretty much hates mine, as soon as I walk out in the garage I feel those eyes staring at me

This is a fun forum I stumbled on- I am a newb but excited to get my new 84 CJ7 on the road-

This weekend I got it to pass emissions but in the process lost all rear lighting ( not going to complain because I am fairly certain the emissions guy went easy on me)
I also switched the wipers to the correct position.

Next up- electrical. Ugh.

Once I have lights in the rear I am street legal!
