Haven't found the dog yet - but then again I'm on my phone...... I'll check the iPad later this evening

WAIT - Is that it just left of the Rover's DS mirror??

And I bet the local LEO's are sick if 911 calls for a possible B&E LOL

Left of the mirror is what I see as the dog.

That's all I could find....

It's running better than it ever has. Good vacuum, responsive throttle, smooth power. Amazing what having the correct size piston rings will do for compression! We might bump up the timing a degree or two, but other than that, I am going to build a new front driveshaft next week and roll some miles on the new engine before heading to Ouray.

What kind of compression are you getting?

135PSI on all 8 cyls after about 100 miles. I expect that number to go up slightly as the rings fully seat.

Set up camp for a weekend of wheeling, camping, and BBQ

Today I wired up the stock tach using the MSD 8920 tach adapter. As I've stated somewhere else before, the OEM tachometers are current-based and not pulse based thus the need to convert the MSD6 pulses to a smooth current flow that raises or lowers based on the MSD6's calculated RPMs.

The box has four wires coming out of it, black, red, white, violet. Black is ground. White goes to tach output on MSD6. Red goes to the OLD coil positive feed (red with black tracer). For our Jeeps, the violet is not used.

Mount it, wire it up and you're done.

007, I suggest a GND wire from the MSD box mounting screw to the fender.
This helps with reduction of RFI.

It's Charlette!

Or at least her web... lol

I'm not a fan of most spiders... too many legs and too many eyes (at least in the movies with big spiders - always too many eyes...)

:chug:

While at a wheeling event I won this spiffy Jeep bag and recovery strap.
