I agree! Very cool and we need more pictures. Also great job on the center console and rear storage area.

(Yesterday) I performed a grommet change PCV and the tube from the other valve cover to the intake. People should do this more often. If mine were any drier they would not have come out in one piece.

I replaced the plugs with OEM spec AC Delcos. It had some very worn Bosch double iridium. Nice chocolate burn though and all matching. I read recently that one function of the spark plug is to remove the heat from the combustion chamber to the head. If that is true these OEM plugs are much better suited than the Boschs. Full metal base on the AC Delcos.

Now this is something I have never heard. And would like to hear how it is even possible.

Installed an electric pusher fan (OEM for a ‘99 Ford Contour with a Flex A Lite thermostatic controller) based on the experience of Lumpy, Hack and others here...fit like a glove and works like a charm

I just ordered a new flex a lite controller for mine so I don’t have to worry about manually turning it on and off since the controller got fried by the last battery I had.

Today, I change out the motor and Transmission mounts - then diagnose a grinding sound coming from the driver side drum after a rear brake cylinder repair and overall clean up job.

I still rum my OEM setup.
I do have a electric pusher in front of the radiator to help out on SLO trails.

I left the belt blade as well...the add was supplemental

Iv been keeping my eye open for that fan at my local pullnsave do you have any pictures of the install?

I didn’t but will get some posted today

Installed Corbeau Baja seats!!

Wish I'd taken one prior to reinstall of the radiator...really would have illustrated just how well this thing matches up

Anyway...model is APDI/PRO AY6018111...this one from RockAuto...fits '99 Ford Contour 2.0 L L4. Like $97 iirc.

First pic shows finished install. This particular fan is reversible (puller or pusher) depending on which terminal is utilized for the hot wire, which is nice. My understanding is that not all FlexALite aftermarket ones necessarily are...it depends upon the individual model.

Second pic shows the radiator setback (1") that was necessitated by the rear of the headlight bulbs.

Third pic shows the spacers I cut out of 1/2" tube stock. This did require +1" longer radiator bolts.

Relatively simple install. Biggest pain was stabbing the belt fan bolts back on the pulley as there was less room than before due to the setback. Might be able to finagle it in without pulling the belt blade, but I couldn't manage it.

Mounted them to the stock seat frames for this week. Next week I’m putting a full roll cage in and I will be mounting them to the cage.

Got some new tires mounted today.
Spent the next two hours removing two brake lines from the master cylinder. Used all the cuss words I know, got off the floor about 15 times, but it finally got done. I’m convinced you’re not supposed to take these things off and less you have the tub off.
Really looking forward to trying to install the new brake lines.
