What did you do to or with your CJ today?

Thanks. It has definitely been a project. But he is learning a lot. And I am proud of him.

Installing new Tie Rod ends one night.

Holy :dung:! Look at the camber on that right front wheel! Glad to hear he is learning... :)

Finished taking the 6.0 apart. Tuesday will be pulling the CJ into the shop to start on her.

Public service announcement #2

Crown motor mounts do not use the same thread count (3/8” 24) as original AMC V8 motor mounts (3/8” 16).
O’Reillys do carry original thread count motor mounts.

That is an awesome video. Thanks for posting. I am not sure my wife would allow her flatty to go on any adventures like that. But I will try to convince her.

Last night I fired up my CJ5 for the first time in over a year. I'm pretty stoked I got the new harness right. Too bad my fuel pump disintegrated right after. Oh well.

I installed a brass tee just under the electric oil pressure sending unit with a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it. This way I can check pressure without the worry of an oil hose leaking. Now I have two oil pressure gauges that don't read the same.

Yeaterday I replaced the clutch in the Scrambler. Dang package from Amazon was a return and they did not check that the pilot bushing and alignment too was missing. Well, went forward with the i stall. I had an alignment tool from the last install.

Then fought with the Transmission not going in. Fought a long time until we realized that the throughout bearing was not the right size. Grrrr. Had to reuse the old one. What a complete pain in the butt.

Oh well. It is in. Now to adjust the linkage and complain to Amazon

That is why I changed mine to a mechanical one I just don't trust the stock ones.

Just finished hand stitching the snap to channel mount conversion on an old CJ fastback top.....
