What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Yes. From an xj

That's awesome, thank you!!! I need to re-do my e-brake system as there really aren't many cables available and mine is just plain froze up.

Can you tell me any specifics I should know?

I just used the lever and cable from an XJ. I don’t believe it required anything other than that. The distance is shorter. People were saying I would need the t fitting for the cable from a TJ but I did not. The cable is longer than needed and I have it doing a loop under the body below the driver seat. It works fine. I did not want to mess with adjusting the length of the cable.

Thank you so much, this is brilliant!!!

Not a problem. I did it a couple of years ago in preparation for a cage and knew that the brake cable would be behind the front cage bar.

As you can tell I have yet to put a cage in. But one day. And I will be ready!

Just got out from under mine, scoping things out... That handle is also listed as a YJ part according to Quadratech. Might be able to use the whole assembly, but I'm starting to get ahead of myself. I definitely like the idea of a longer cable looping around as the YJ short cable just looks too long.... so much more to look at and measure. It's Sunday, I should be relaxing.

The more I think about it. I may have used my CJ cable and just fed it into the XJ lever as I think the XJ cable may have been too small. It has been a while. Sorry.

Finally finished installing my Tuffy CB Console. Turned out the console was too long for my roll cage (BUMMER!) so I bought a couple roll bar light mount brackets, a 12-inch threaded bolt, nylon nuts, and washers. Now it's secured on both ends. :D

Well, my flywheel needed replacing so I dropped the Transmission . Now that it's out, I've found that I'll need to replace my throw out, U joints, rear main seal, clutch disk, and figure out how to fix a pivot ball that the clutch fork is supposed to rest on.

You didn't really think it would be simple, did you?

I drove all over across a few towns today, it was great.

I’m nearing the completion of the install of the Bluetooth amp and speakers. Boxes are done, wiring harness is only short the power and ground connections, and the mounting brackets for the amp are awaiting paint. Looking forward to some tunes......

I thought you enjoyed the whine of the Transmission and hum of the tires while driving. :)

More like the rumble of the engine and the absolutely obnoxious roar of the mud kings..... Loudest tire I think I’ve ever heard. Just about have enough saved up for new set of shoes, though

I see the outer two coins in the top row were minted in Philadelphia.

Yes, and that '67 quarter was the oldest I found. And that top right Phili quarter is one of those state quarters from 2000.

Alrighty - I now officially have tunage.... Completed the wiring, it pairs right up with both the phone and iPod (yes, an iPod.... I’m old and still like my iPod - shut up). Don’t have quite as much bass as I’d like, but that’s the speaker boxes. They’re a tad small. Just need to rig up a radio slot cover plate, mount the remote to it, and come up with some speaker grills......

Here’s one of the boxes in place - I’ve been derelict in my photo duties.....

I wonder if you could get some more bass out of them by making a hole on the inner side pannels. It would let the speaker move easier and vent the bass to the inside of the Jeep. I'm thinking about a two-three inch hole.
