Again, mine were new and factory shackles will hit the rear crossmember ..... I think it’s just crappy springs. I’ll be swapping mine out in the somewhat near future

Lift springs will do just that: Lift.

You don’t limit articulation by the same amount of lift and you will end up bending (or losing spring) instantly. With today’s inferior quality products, this problem is exacerbated.

Now, you are telling me that you ordered 4 inch lift and you find out that it’s only yielding 3 inches of lift, then forget it.

I ordered 4" lift springs and they yielded only 2.5" of lift. Since I already had 4" lift springs initially, and was keeping the front ones, I now had to add the lift shackles in the rear to add the needed additional 1.5" to keep the rear at 4" with these new springs (2.5" from springs and 1.5" from shackles). And with the original worn out springs, the stock shackles were hitting the cross member. With these new springs, straightened longer shackles would have cleared, but to eliminate future potential issues, I went with the boomerangs while I was changing them anyway. These boomerangs are 6" center to center hole (3" longer than stock) thus yielding 1.5" of added lift.

The Tuff Country springs ride just fine. But greatly disappointed that they falsely claim 4" of lift when in fact they provide only 2.5". Then coupled with the fact that Suspension Connection refused to take them back without a 20% re-stocking fee and me paying the return shipping, I have another supplier added to my "do not buy from" list.

Abit late to this topic, sorry for your hassles with springs. BDS was my choice for a 4" lift, with their no BS guarantee you wouldn't have had issues with a return if needed. They are a little spendy but to me it was well worth the price. I have had no problems and after a few offroad excursions the springs have settled in and give a nice ride.

Yea, the BDS springs were about double the cost. But I cheaped out and learned that lesson - again.

Installed this Spartan locker in the front axle. Still need to finish putting the hubs back together.

I put the engine in 14+ years ago. Last year just before Jeep week it lost oil pressure so I borrowed an engine. Mine was beyond repair (#1 piston came out in two pieces) so now I have a new one freshly rebuilt and ready to be installed so I can return the borrowed one. Dropping the Transmission now. I'll have the motor out within the hour

My CJ is blowing the starter solenoid fuse randomly and lately more often. It’s playing a foolish game on me. Posting this on behalf of my CJ. Grrrrrrr
