:jeepgrin:Put about 250 miles on the Cj after the ignition debacle and so far no failures! getting about 14.5 mpg for a brick in the sky that's plenty. :drive:

nothing at all, I feel ashamed I haven't given it's due time especially while winter will be closing in soon, but have been so busy getting the TJ ready for a fishing trip off road adventure in WV, have had no extra time.

Got the destroyed radiator out of it and the "new" flex fan put on. Don't ask. Got the roll cage painted and reinstalled. Put the bikini top on it and the driver's side half door.
Next is the new gauge cluster and find out why there's no power to the marker and taillights.

Sounds like the fan flexed and cored out the radiator. Did it once my self in a Mercedes Benz:oops: semi truck off road in the deserts of Saudi Arabia

^^^ check the motor mounts or you may need another radiator. Ask me how I know.

Nope, I got lazy and only put three of the four bolts in because I was missing one of the U-clip nuts and on the side where I left one out, it vibrated the other one out and it fell into the fan.

Here's the new one. Went all out and got new hoses too. It had thos cheapo universal hoses in it before. They'll make good spares. Can any of you guys read what's printed on the rad. cap?

Back in 92 i had this marine working for me who asked when and how to check the radiator, so up went the hood and we felt the cap dead cold so he felt it and opened her up. However Saturday came and he wanted to check again.......wasn't cold this time and monday he showed me the second degree burns on his chest. I bet he never opened a cap again if it wasn't frost coated.

:jeepgrin:Changed the oil, greased the places that ask for it, found some new stuff to do but not today, drove it around town with a grin ( as it should be not the normal salty words when it quits).

Put it in Overdrive and let the good times roll!!!

Created a large and small animated gif.

Which (or all) would you like to be able to select?

The background would be so small, details won't carry well, now different color Jeeps....on road, off road, surf boards, camping...just some fun ideas.

Replaced the high-pressure hose on the power steering pump after a pin hole sprayed the entire driver's side of the engine compartment with steering fluid. Could be that putting on the new steering box found the weak spot in an old hose. Glad it failed close to home. A hose we should probably think of including in our preventive maintenance replacement but oh what a pain to replace.
