Don't try to make aluminum brake lines. The tubing is usually seamed, the flares won't be double flares because you can't do the reverse bend as the flare splits and they are just not safe.No, but tje rear end rusted by the tailgate hinge mounts so I have to cut out the rot and replace the entire rear crossmember. While I am at it I am also going to put in new aluminum brake lines

There are some who have used copper coated lines and there is a special new aluminum that is being developed but it requires some very specialized equipment.
IIRC, I know it's not approved for state side use and I'm pretty sure it is not Germany approved either.
