Put in a new marine grade stereo and speakers than washed and waxed. I also picked up a one piece USA Alloy axle for my model 20. I hope its pretty easy. I haven't done one of these before.

Powder coat/smowder coat...

BLack Flat Enamel rustoleum. Painted the original stock rocker guards (if it is fair to call them that?) Ordered the superior elevator bolts and well nut assemblages and painted all the hardware for the hood and dash. Installed Billet Black Knobs and the diamond plate instrument cover. Now going to trace the ground issue that seems to surface intermittently and at a certain vibration. (The terrible and dreadful "GROUND CHASE." Looking to buy stock in contact cleaner and butt connectors. Oh yeah baby.

Also repositioned tie downs for the bikini top now that I have a full soft top.

I decided to do one of 2 thing:
Either part this thing out and build a new Jeep,
Or completely replace the entire drivetrain and do a frame off.
I'm sick of working on this POS and not getting anywhere with it...

 things not been going so well

You could say that...LOL

one step back and a deep breath , now make a list of all the things that are right. If that list is shorter than the list of things wrong, deal with it accordingly.:D

hang in there bud.

I'd say if it drives keep it up.

I got my km2's on, new battery,& tray,& finally fixed the turn signals. Next, tunes.:chug:

I took the Hard top off. Yeah, big deal, right? Well, I felt real good with the wind in my face and nothing above me but God! :D

With the help of a welding friend I made a new cross member. My OEM skid plate/cross member was cut and modified by the PO. It has developed a crack that has been growing. I get better clearance with my new cross member.
I never did like the OEM CJ tranny mount. It had a good rubber mount on one side and a doughnut on the other side. I always thought it looked jury rigged like someone from the factory said "we need something over here, I'll just use this rubber doughnut."
As you can see I used two good polyurethane tranny mounts side by side.

Installed some in frame headers..now playing exhaust pipe rubix cube to figure out the rest.

I installed rear springs for my CJ5 . I was planning on buying Rubicon Express 4.5 inch lift springs but they are filing chapter 11. I like the Rubicon Express because they have a Military Wrap. Last summer I broke my front spring and a Military Wrap would have helped tremendously. So when I was talking to the rep at Quadratec he said they had Skyjacker springs with a military wrap. Skyjacker wasn't my first choice for a suspension lift but I really liked the idea of having Military wrap springs.
They arrived and they are NOT military wrap. Maybe I should have returned them but I don't know of anyone that makes military wrap springs for a CJ. I will be writing an email to Quadratec letting them know what I think.
Too late to return them. I have them installed. I've been doing a lot of work on my CJ getting it ready for summer.

Super Lift - Black Diamond makes military wrap lifts. They are only 3" though. I just order one. I have a warrior shackle reverse and 1 1/2" shackles so it should be in the ball park of 4" to 4 1/2" after leveling. I hope that helps. That sucks about Rubicon Express. I wanted to get a 4 1/2" lift from them for my XJ.

I installed a new Double Cardan Drive Shaft in my CJ5 . I bought it from Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts and I highly recommend them. Great product.
I started this last weekend but I ordered a yoke with the wrong spline count. :p

need to stay on it Pal, just three more months until the passes open up.:D
