What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Tried to get spark to the plugs. My 61 CJ5 with the stock F134 Hurricane (don't laugh) has an MSD 6 Offroad Electronic Ignition. When I "test" the ignition per manufacturer - with a jumper ground - it's hot, very hot (at coil wire to distributor). When I have it hooked up correctly my spark is intermittent and not so hot. Everything I read says I have a ground problem, but ... where???

I have been trying to buy new tires for my CJ. I spent a lot of time today disputing my credit card charge. If you don't mind hearing me rant, read on.
Well over a month ago I looked for the best price for 35 inch SuperSwamper LTB tires. I found the best price at East Side Custom Truck Truck Parts, Drive Train & Axle, & Differential Parts, Fabrication Parts, & Suspension
They charged my credit card $1074 but no tires ever showed up. I called them and they said they were back ordered and would ship them when possible. I emailed Interco, the makers of the tires, and was told that size of tires won't be manufactured until late this year. I emailed East Side Custom Truck that I wanted to change my order but got no response. I called and emailed again. Got someone on the phone that said he would change my order and ship my tires. I asked for a tracking number by the next day. No reply. I call and email but never get a response. Then Monday when I call them I get a recording saying this number is out of service because of lack of payment of the phone bill. Now I am thinking: Oh :censored: these guys are going out of business and taking my money. Now I call my credit card company to dispute the charge. Good news and bad news. I used a Discover card and I can get my money back up to 6 months after the supposed ship date even if they go out of business and skip to Mexico. Bad news is I have to wait 30 days after the ship date. But since I changed my order to someting I knew Interco Tire Co was making that means the soonest I could get my money is 30 days after that. In all honesty I won't mind waiting if I get my tires at the agreed upon price. I was scared that they already stole my money.
If these guys can't even pay their phone bill it looks like they may be going out of business.

It was kind of dirty to offer tires that were still to be made. and now this, I would be more than a bit upset myself. :shooter:Hope it works out the way it is supposed to.

Using the CJ to run parts for the :censored: YJ. I think the ol gal is gloating.

Seems like a long way to go for tires. Isn't there a tire store in CO?
The tire stores around here don't have bias ply SuperSwampers. They could special order and then they would cost more that buying on line. The guy at one of the local tire stores said to buy them on line and they would mount them.

Well over the last three days I installed a new aftermarket aluminum valve cover and gasket(ditched that plastic P.O.S) Then I installed new pro-comp es1000 shocks. Then I stuck on a new stearing stabalizer. Then it was time for all new clutch linkage..All in all the rear bolt on the valve cover was the most challanging!

Installed a 2 meter radio for you hams out there. then took off my top, dropped the windshield and took the jeep dogs for a ride. we got high centered once and had Great afternoon!! woke up the next morning to two inches of new snow. If you don't like the weather around were just wait 30 minutes it will change.

I cut the glove box hole in my new aluminum dash measured for the thickness of spacer I need on tranny bellhousing and picked up my new wire harness :chug:

I didn't get around to posting a couple days ago when this happened, but I found out the hard way that my brakes will lock up very well from 65mph and even with a 4" lift and 33" tires, when sliding completely sideways at that speed to avoid an accident, it doesn't roll over!

I broke a f*#kin driveshaft today! absolutly no fun at all

I stole the carb the CJ and put it on the J-10. The J-10 would not idle. I would be upset but once again it made it home before it quit running.
Now that I have pulled the carter from the CJ I have the undeniable excuse to put the MC2100 on it. One door closes , one door opens. It's kind of a Zen thing Man.

3" snow last night. It's April 16 - WTF

to this...

My question is...Now how the heck do I get in??? I can't hang on the roll cage anymore!

Spent a little more time with the 73 today. Runs good after warming up, I'm not sure if all 304s have this much power but, this seems like way too much for this liitle rig.
