What did you do to or with your CJ today?

What did you do to or with your CJ today?
maybe a ratchet strap would do it and just enough to break it loose from the sides. 1/8-1/4" maybe.

So maybe use a come along? Pull them cliser

Thx after 4 straps some cutting and another person, finally got the sport bar out. :D Time for a beer :chug:

can you post more pictures of your Corbeau seats? and tell us what you think of them? I am thinking of a pair of Baja JPs but I imagine the quality and comfort of yours would be similar.

Did you loose very much room between you and the wheel? vertical and horizontal? How hard is it to enter and exit with those seat bolsters?

would they be a good place to spend 8 or 10 hours and climb out and in 20 or 30 times ?

this would be a good post for chassis and body forum.

Will do. Haven't gotten it out yet but getting in and out is a of a challenge. They don want you to slide over the bolster but go up and over it. I'll get more pics and height from the floor measurements.

just sent a PM with the same questions, didn't know if you would check this thread for a while. just being impatient, no big deal.

A simple and straight forward install of grease zerps (certs? certz? zerpts?) ( Installing them was easier than trying to spell them without effort of looking them up) in a Dana 44 rear for wheel bearing area greasing.

Anyone interested in a write up? Sure there are pleanty out there already for this though... :D

Been working through trashed wiring system, starting with Jeephammer's
Been reading the good book of JeepHammer! - JeepForum.com treatise on grounding. So this afternoon, fab'ed a No2 stranded copper starter-to-battery-negative with copper terminals, copper anti-seize, copper pennies drilled as washers, and shrink sleeves. Got the starter bolt out, polished to bright on a wire wheel, and hooked it all up.

Copper pennies as washers? Is that better then the alternative.

Picked up the flywheel from the machine shop, rear main seal, pan gasket set and the clutch kit from the auto parts store. Waiting for the Transmission .

they conduct great.....AND in todays economy they are actually cheaper than crappy zinc coated junk washers... Where else can you buy 100 washers for $1 ?

Granted, drilling 100 washers is a bit of a drag, but................

Cool. And u use them for electronics? Or to prevent rust build up

I hate pennies. They are everywhere in my house. My grandma leaves them here as gifts.

I parked the cj for the season. Short wheelbase and a locker are treacherous on icy roads. :(

I didn't get around to any of the mods I wanted to do this summer but, I had a lot of fun driving it. :D

Front brakes and new wheel bearings/seals

didnt have time after ring and pinion before I moved to Texass

Next: get traction/rear axle problem sorted so I can launch this thing

I decided I like the CJ7 enough that I'm going to go bumper to bumper on it. Not museum stuff, just getting it ready for a Mexico trip. Fixed a dodgy steering column u-joint, and replaced the ignition cylinder. I could pull the key while she was running.
