Completed DMV registration .. passed a smog check today and got 2013 tags. Installed brackets for a colapsable towbar .... towing it to the desert Saturday

Cleaned and separated the Transmission and Transfer Case today. Kind of sad. It's gonna take almost a week to get the gasket sets from down south. You would think they sold more of these for a 79 CJ in New England.

I completed both axle rebuilds and have them installed on frame, now sitting on rubber on all 4 corners instead of jackstands...too bad there are only a million other things to do yet.

I dropped her off for a paint job, new front bumper, all new BDS lift, YJ front spring conversion, front tube fenders, and im having the rear tail lights recessed into the body......oh and yesterday it got new tires....

i may start a thread once i have it back just to document and show the changes.

finally got the winch back it its proper place. not to move on to something else. I think it's time to order the Spartan locker for the front axle.

I started the fiberglass repair project on my hardtop by removing material around the cracked bolt holes. I also started the installation of diodes for brake and turn signals on my CJ while it is in-tow behind my motorhome.

I also installed a replacement backing lamp below the rear bumper and reworked my spare tire carrier and mounts to tighten up that rattle trap.

A month of weekends later, I threw up my hands in disgust, pushed my "RIPKEN" CJ5 into to the street and made an appointment for servicing. Perhaps the next project will be more successful. It is from failure that we learn the joys of success.

Sold some extra parts and put on new shocks. Also started getting the exhaust bolts out for new exhaust.
