I don't think I have ever used a spout on a Jerry can. A syphen hose works so much better, never even have to lift the can off the carrier.

JR did the cork not work for you to seal the lid?:cool:

I tried to buy a spout the other day ….. NA in CA
So I made one from a broken old spout …. Welded a barbed fitting in and put a rubber hose on.

Are you goin on auburn jeep club rubicon deal next weekend????

I wish! No not yet... she's still going through some fixing...

I agree the syphen hose works great.

I haven't had the chance to get the cork yet, but hoping it will work out.

:cool:

As far as I can tell, it is not illegal to have or mount / use or carry the jerry cans, even for gas, just to sell them as gas tanks...

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) adopted new emission and spill-control regulations for portable fuel containers, commonly known as "gas cans," and gas can spouts. The regulations apply to new gas cans and spouts sold in California starting January 1, 2001. There is no requirement for owners of gas cans or spouts sold before that date to modify their gas cans or to scrap them and buy new ones.

???

Anywho, I use mine :D

That's a great idea IO! Why didn't I think of that? A few feet of hose would stow away better in my storage box than a funnel! I'm making a change to my carry around gear thanks to you! :chug:

Put on my eye protection, crawled under the CJ7 with a length of tubing and re-routed my GM Turbo 400 tranny breather hose with the end being way up high for possible creek crossings this summer.

:)Well got the Passenger side welded up this morning and put them on .......more work than I thought , not a big fan of laying on a creeper anymore:(
:D:D:D:D

You, Sir, are a metalurgical artist!:notworthy: Nice job on the fabrication. I wish I had 1/10th your welding skills.

A quik trip to the USPS turned into jumping off the mtn for a bottle in a paperback, which resulted in a couple rain showers, I JUST TOOK THE TOP OFF. Then cruised around some local blue holes and explored some back roads on the mtn. Got home and the power cut off due to the storm. BTW, we only got showered on for maybe 20 minutes then the blazing sun came back out. Lol

Pulled an engine wiring harness from an 05 wrangler, going to custom build my engine harness. :eek:

Picked up the new fuel line, too hot to work on it!!!!!

with out a wiring diagram to go with it, you just became the PO that butchered the wiring. :D

If worse comes to worse I will blame it on the previous PO. :D Besides, who needs a wiring diagram, the PO obviously didnt.
