What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun

Today I emptied my gear from my CJ, after a fun-but-damaging wheeling campout.

Yesterday I broke my front driveshaft coupler u-bolt clamp at the Transfer Case . Luckily, a fellow CJ'er had a spare clamp and bolt. Easy fix. Bashed my steering stabilizer to the 12 0' clock position as well, no big deal, it didn't do much anyhow...

On the way home I had some issues on the highway. My tranny temp gauge skyrocketed, my mechanical gauge temp (in the block) plummeted, and my stock temp gauge pegged .:wtf:(aftermarket troubles of late made me not consider it was accurate)

The Hills of western MA have always been unkind to my CJ, so the poor performance didn't raise many red flags.

When I finally made it to a rest area on the turnpike to inspect it further, I found the steering to be tight as well.

Diagnosis: Shredded WP/PS belt. Drove for ten plus hard miles like that. :bang: Alt and OBA runs off of separate belt.

First time since I bought it it had to be flat-bedded home. If I'm lucky, new fluids, belts, plugs, and t-stat will be all that is needed.

Today I greased the u joints and slip yokes and I installed a new heater fan switch. Then I ran all over town in it doing errands. Nice to have the heater finally working.

Had it delivered.

Bought a CJ5 that ran but didn't stop. (Well, it ran when the gasoline supply line was inserted into a gas can.) Heckuva nice guy from Hull picked it up and flatbedded it for half of what regular tow companies charged.

Got the tub off and the pressure washer hooked up. Now the frame is sparkling and the engine is heading to the shop!

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

Just finished my inside of my tub today. I used Monstaliner Chassis Saver. It turned out better than I thought it would. I am going to leave it just the way it is for now. Someday I may repaint the outside and will Monstaliner the inside to match. After it dries , put everything back in.

Installed my mc2150...working on getting the vacuum hoses hooked. Yesterday I did the nutter bypass. Was really very simple.

Today I finished up the install of my new MC2150 carb. Engine cranked right up and ran ok even with no adjustments. Very happy with it.

Drove it around today and found a gravel lot. Put everything (Hubs/X-fer case) into 4WD and tested. All, OK!

Ready for the mountains around Christrmas time.

got the rest of the holes drilled for the plow. now i just have to tighten it all down and wire it up. i feel like im gonna do an endo when i pick up the plow

lol

might! Especially while moving forward and apply brakes suddenly.

Maybe consider some counter weight?

Oh and take a video while plowing!

i am thinking about drilling a hole in my junk tire, mounting it to a rim, and filling it with concrete. should be a sufficient counter balance, if it dosent rip my spare tire carrier off:eek:

Put my interior back together , installed center console , new stereo , and speaker and storage box.
