What did you do to or with your CJ today?
Got in this morning and everything nice and dry so the seals were holding well. The drivers side floor was soaked but i'm pretty sure that was due to the windshield rubber leaking.

Mine lets water in thru the firewall. The rear edge of the hood doesn’t have the lip turning down to act as a drip edge, the lip on the cowl is minuscule to say the least. I’m planning on switching to a steel hood, and build up the cowl lip.

May not be your windshield rubber. Next time it rains, lay a piece of Saran Wrap across the hood / cowl gap - still wet then it probly is your seal. If it dry, it’s something else.....

Thanks, i didn't even think of that, the way the bottom of the window frame is rusted i just jumped to that conclusion!

And it's a logical conclusion to jump to. I did the same thing, only my gasket isn't leaking. Had me stumped for a couple days...

Ok - This isn't anything I did to or with the CJ today, but I was in it at the time, so I'm counting it.

I stopped at fresh red light tonight, and a car pulled up,to my left almost immediately. Dude yells over and asks what year the Jeep is - so I said it's an 80 ( his wife is on the passenger side ears deep into her phone). He said wow, it looks great, I said thanks, it took me 6 years to get it like that - and it almost cost me a divorce...... He yells back " Definitely would have been worth it!!"

She knocked the :dung:,outta him, and was still wailing on him when I pulled off LOL.

Sounds like he married my ex.

Replaced the clutch linkage, all pieces and parts. When shifting to second produces a pedal to the floor moment you need no further indications of a problem. Out of sight out of mind.

You are on a roll now!! Glad you're back on the road again!

So glad to be back on the road as well, still plenty of small things I have to finish but she is moving

Glad you got it done. 4 places left for 2020 Moab. Plenty time to test it out before hand.

Just tell her breaking them in at MOAB will help prevent future implosions...... helps them seat themselves...... Ans save the cost of more bearings down the road

Yeah when I was in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons 3 weeks ago. Elk were bugling and a few mornings in the low 30s. Just saying. Also dry as a bone here. September was record dry here.

The wife and I went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons last September. No Jeep riding though. We flew into Jackson Hole and rented a car then stayed at Teton Village.
Elk were bugling when we were there as well. We also saw a few Moose around Teton. We woke up a couple of mornings with frost on the windshield.
