Took it out, played in the mud managed to shatter both side marker bulb assemblies. Didn't get stuck thanks to the True Trac diffs and Maxxis RZR tires. Big fun! Only 45 mins pressure washing the muck off.

Old Time Jeeper
Replaced my thermostat and changed the oil. Trying to diagnose a wierd rumble as well. I did figure out its not either driveshaft. Next step is get all the tires rebalanced

They made that easier with the 20+ models the frame stays in place and just the glass folds down with a few clips

New rear springs. The old ones were flattened out in the center and made for a horrible ride. I have a Rough Country 4" lift kit and just needed to replace the two rear springs. The cost for two individual springs was outrageous. So I ordered two Tuff Country springs instead. They come with the bushings and axle wedges pre-installed. They are also 5 leaves whereas the Rough Country ones are 4. Seem quite well made at about half the cost of the Rough Country replacements. I later learned why the lower cost. These Tuff Country springs, while claiming to also be 4" lift, are really about 2.5" lift. Here's a pic of one of my old worn out Rough Country 4" lift springs (you can see the flattened area in the center) next to a brand new Tuff Country 4" spring. Notice the height difference. I bought these through Suspension Connection. When I contacted them and sent them the pic, they argued with me about it. I finally got ahold of their returns department and they said I could send them back, if I paid return shiping and a 20% re-stocking fee. They said I would need to also buy the front ones, install all four, and then take pics showing that they did not provide 4" of lift in order to get a full refund on them. Of course that's B.S. So rather than send them back and lose all that money, I ordered a set of 1.5" lift boomerang shackles and installed those with these Tuff Country springs. That combination gave me the 4" lift I needed to keep everything level with the 4" already in the front. Rides just fine now.
So word to the wise - Tuff Country springs ain't what they claim and Suspension Connection is not a good company to do business with - at least that's my experience.

What a difference, to bad most springs seem to be junk these days, seems like all the metal quality is way down from what it used to be

Just an FYI - I bought new RC 4” springs, and the new rear ones were flat in the center just like that without ever having touched the Jeep.

Finally got the rest of my parts yesterday. Going to bed blast all my brackets and pulleys today then start my engine swap. Also doing all new stainless steel brake lines and brakes and a few others as well

I did wonder about the flattened area, but mine were also quite extended. The rear of the Jeep sat about 1/2" lower than the front and the rear shackles were extended back and would hit the cross member when going over modest bumps. The new ones, while not as arched and required the extended shackles, got me level again and not bottoming out over speed bumps. So definitely worn and lost their "spring".
