Hey guys. I'm installing a set of fans on my new radiator (thank you Ken Miracle). I'm setting up the system on a relay. I have 2 questions:

How can I use the existing engine thermostat to kick the relays on and off?

If I have an "always on when engine on" set up, what wire can I run my fan relay signal wire to? I was thinking solenoid.

I don't think there is any way to use the existing sending unit. You can get an aftermarket one cheap though. I think mine is from flex-a-lite.

Anything that is hot when the key is on will work.
I've got mine wired so I can shut if off if need be (deep water) or turn it on/off without the engine running (cool down if hot)

Thermostat Fan Temp Sensor Temperature Relay Kit New | eBay

thread the sensor into the water jacket someplace, block or manifold, and power one side of your relay from an accessory spade on your fuse block and ground the other coil leg through the switch in the water jacket. Walk in the park. manual shut off is optional but easy to wire between the fuse block and the relay.:D
