YJ cage: Is there a gasket btwn. bars and windshield?

Family style roll bar going into a 81 CJ7 . The spreader bars appear to have a ridge
around the mounting holes so it does not sit flush with the windshield.. Do you
know if there is a gasket that sits between the bar and the windshield?

Not exactly sure of what you have, but a gasket would be a great addition to help prevent rust where there is metal to metal contact. I used a heavy rust preventative paint where my cage bolts in, but think a gasket would work better.

Putting the family roll bar in is next on my list. I would love to see pics of the problem and solution when done if you have the time

No gasket...However, when building out mine I used (actual) rubber undercoat on both mating surfaces. Actually, I do that for all hinges and mount plates (including the body armor) where metal lays against metal...paint wears away and moisture will start to rust. Been over 10 years since I did some of the parts...still no rust between mount points.

Thank you for the replies guys. I'll likely put something in between too. see this picture the surface that mates with the windshield is not flat.
