Is this where I need to put the probe on my water temp gauge? I have read several post and think this would be the best/easiest location. I have the brass adapters that came with the gauge and it should be a direct fit.

that is the CTO switch. Just make sure you won't need that for anything else. There are a couple of taps in the side of the block as well, drivers side down near the motor mount. Does it have a longer than usual probe? Why a mechanical?:cool:
 
The probe is about 1/2" diameter and about 2" long. Came with a sunpro gauge from advance auto. I already have a mech oil/water gauge mounted in the dash. I will not need that port as I have the 2100 carb and nutter bypass setup and nothin was hooked up to it prior.
