Forward momentum, got the dust shield finished, installed with the bell housing, clutch fork, throw out bearing, clutch linkage, and starter...... still working on the Transmission case issue so wishing I had that settled so I can get this Jeep on the road

Advance adapters, reproduction of the 80s 4cyl slave cylinder, they use a different push rod to work with the Chevy NV4500 fork

I have the 4 cyl slave now as original with T-4 , been trying to find out if I can use on a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with T-176 and T-4 bellhouse but have not been able to find much on it.

Hmm that’s worth looking into my initial thought would be use the slave cylinder, fork and throw out bearing from the 4 cylinder on the AMC bell housing but I don’t remember if it has the bolt holes for the slave cylinder

Haven't checked in on this build in a long time. You're making good progress.

I really enjoyed the part about you doing the ring, and pinion set up. I'm wanting to take a stab at redoing my own because paying labor is so expensive. My build isn't going just slow because I'm sore so often and can't work on it... I'm also on that 1 part a month (2 if they're small) installment plan. I have never tried an axle before, and it kinda scares me that I'll get it wrong and grenade some expensive parts. reading you guys talking back, and forth helped to understand the process a bit more than just watching a youtube video.

No worries go for it, torque everything to spec measure everything twice and your good to go, I have done several over the years. The Mopar axles have threaded adjusters for the carrier bearings which make them go much faster, shimming the carrier bearings for Dana’s take longer, I was very surprised with my Dana 44 set up how much of a difference the smallest of shims made

Ok my Ax15/NV3550 was that way I don’t think the T-176 /T-4 bell housing is that way tho

Well i have some huge props to give Coldair he found an entire early 2wd NV4500 for me in Utah. Its supposed to be on its way to Texas today so that will fix my cracked case issue and hopefully i will be on the road soon
