Looks like you may be notching the trans tunnel for yer twin sticks, huh?

Lol been awhile since I've played with glass, I don't think I'm going to have notch the tunnel, I won't know for sure til I drop the body back down and get everything lined up

Congrats on the new place. Hopefully you'll have a nice shop there.

Love the helper you have there.

Man - I remember when mine was that age..... seems like a couple years ago. She's now 24 and living outside D.C. 20 years went by FAST. Enjoy the help / company.... this is where memories are made :chug: :chug:

(She wearing her ID badge around her neck?? Earplugs?? Keys to the shop?? LOL )

How did you cut the tube? I used a bandsaw. Once the tube was shorten I purchased a long spline axle shaft and used a cutoff wheel to cut to the correct length.

Clean bevel, nice work!

My trusty makita angle grinder, once I got my cut location I marked the tube all the way around and went after it with the cut off wheel, the axle tube is not as thick as I thought that it would be maybe 1/4 inch wall

Well I started cleaning the inside of my axle real good and decided to use a press to press my bearings and cups in the axle instead of the 3 lbs hammer, so I should have the axle assembled by Monday morning if all goes well, time to start measuring the front axle for its chop
