Well, ya could have told her you were just gonna run it on the hubs for a while so she could get in and out easier.....

I’m interested to see what the result is - I bought a piece of small diameter duct to fab up a heat shield to see how it works. This looks like a LOT less work. How long do we have to wait for results???????????

Id like to find out more on Hydroboost myself, If Im thinking correctly it operates Brakes and steering at the same time, So that means if it goes out your down to really bad brakes and no power steering. Is it worth the risk to do that on an off road vehicle ?

The hydro booster has a reserve to be able to let you use power brake assist one to two times before it is depleted. You see that gold cylinder on the side? That is the accumulator It is filled with nitrogen.
Also something to know about one of these systems To check if a hydro-boost system is functioning perform this test
With the engine off, pump the brake pedal until it is hard.
Start the engine.
Proper operation should result in the brake pedal sinking down and then pushing back up against your foot.
The sinking of the pedal when the engine was started is a result of the power chamber being pressurized. Once the power steering system is at full pressure, the pedal will push back against your foot pressure.

This test will only verify if the pump, hydro-boost unit and reserve are working.

It is installed on a heck of a lot of diesel vehicles because they do not create vacuum so the system has proven itself to work well for many many years, I thought that it would cost me a lot more money to do a hydro boost than what it is costing me right now, I will have a complete system for around $200 and that’s using parts store parts not junkyard Look at thisguyyouknow thread he did more than one swap himself

This is a link coldair sent me today they show how the hydro boost system creates almost double the pressure out of the master cylinder than a vacuum booster

Don't you just love those magnetic cups? I bought one just to see if I would use it. I wish I had bought a few now. I'll get some more next time I go to Harbor freight.

Lol they work great, I have 2 of them I need to use them more often instead of dropping the nuts and bolts on the floor
