Build Thread 83 CJ7 its time to get it done

I used the MTS fill and vent hoses and they fit like a glove.

I've got the OEM 20 gallon plastic tank.

20 Gallon --- Fuel Tank Fill & Vent • MTS CJFHCJ7-20/CJVHCJ7-20

15 Gallon --- Fuel Tank Fill & Vent • MTS CJFH-1/CJVH-1

I try to avoid Omix and Crown as much as possible. I have some Crown here and there when I can't find an alternative, but no Omix. Just my humble opinion.

I hate omix and crown both, I’m going to throw everything that I can think of that I bought from them in the trash, I didn’t realize at the time that something as simple as a filler hose they could screw up

Hmmm I’m really starting to get interested in doing a TDI swap, I’m getting tired of the oil leaks and it looks like the whole swap is cheaper than a rebuild for an AMC V8 with double the MPG

Lol not government motors the people’s diesel 2.0L turbo direct injection diesel from VW.... looks like I can get motor with all accessories wiring ECU for under 1k about 1K for the adapter and 1k for everything else to get it in the Jeep

And with the diesel scandal VW created they are cheap now as well. With the changes in my life currently going on it looks like I will be driving more miles per day and I would like to continue to drive my Jeep a lot so it would be nice to have some better fuel economy while doing it..... I don’t know.... something so right about an AMC motor in a CJ

It's getting pretty hard to see in the future these days. Things are pretty muddy but it sounds kinda like gasoline vehicles, especially new, may become extinct in just a few years. Diesel may be around longer and that might be a safer bet. Amazing how cheap gas is now $ 1.15 but I see it going through the roof in the future and with that 360 yow ! I heard Lexus and others are going all electric in 3 years. Who knows

Yes it really does seem that the leftist communists in all the governments are pushing for consumers to clean up their emissions pretty hard even tho corporations are the real polluters.....Diesel can’t go anywhere because of the airline industry wouldn’t exist without jet fuel and that is a usable sub for diesel, I test drove a Honda Accord hybrid the other day and you couldn’t tell at all that there was anything different about it while it was making 48mpg I was impressed, I also really like Tesla’s but can’t afford the payment of those puppies

Gert, hopefully you can get some Jeep or garage time to help lighten the load. I always find it amazing to see how therapeutic a couple hours in garage is for me. My day will literally turn 180.
