I just did the moser one piece swap on mine. Had to do it twice but that is another story. What I found was the previous owner did not put the brake backing plates in it (has disc conversion) which allowed the bearing to move in the tube. The moser set up uses a spacer ring that makes the bearing, after pressed on, protrude about .003" . When you put the backing plate on, it preload the bearing against the spacer ring and locks everything in place.
Hope this helps.

As an update:

Ended up just replacing stock...turned out as suspected. I fried the driver side bearing and race. It didn't turn in the tube so hopefully it will be good for a few. I went this route because at some point I will put in new axles...figured I'd pony up more money when I knew which way I was heading.

Since I had all new brake parts sitting here I ended up doing that as well so at least that part is done. Soon I need to inspect the front bearings so that's next on the short list.

Thanks to everyone for the input...I appreciate it.

I was gonna vote for the Moser upgrade but I'm having my own problems...:o
