Are these used axles beyond recovery?

- '85 CJ-7, 258/4.2L 6cyl. Bought new in 1985. Full cage, Warn 8274 winch, Ford 9" rear, front/rear Detroit Lockers w/4:88 R&P. T-5 tranny and 4:1 t'case. 33X12.50-15 BFG/AT, MSD ign, on board air---
6 cyl CJ's with the T-5 , were 2:73 or 3:31 in Ca.
I run 4:88 and never had a strength issue.
The pinion size difference ain't much.
T-18 1st, is non-synco too.
The adapter is not the only issue. You have to get a new cluch disc also, IIRC.
