Bell crank concerns

Bell crank concerns
So now that we're sure that my lift is 2 1/2", it seems like the consensus of opinion is that I can pull out the tranny drop and raise it back up to the stock position and it should be ok?

What about the wedges at the rear spring perches? Looking at my diagram, if I pulled those out also, at least the angle of the drive line in relation to the center line of the yokes would be about the same top and bottom?

And it would solve my bell crank issue.

So is that the way to go?

If this is a vote, I vote yes. but this is your call, you are the man on the scene.

So I think that's what I'm going to do. Remove both the tranny drop and wedges and see how it works.

I found this link:Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts - Driveline 101 and (I think ) it's saying that as long as the angles to the drive shaft in relation to the center line of the yokes is close to the same, I should be ok, as long as it doesn't get too steep.

Thanks for all the input guys :chug:

Correct; with a single cardan u joint ds you want the pinion angled up the same amount that you have the TC yoke angled down. Tom Woods says 15* is the max angle you can run. This is referring to the difference between the yoke and DS angle. So if your DS is at 16* and the pinion yoke is pointed up 7*, you have an 11* angle.

You should need some sort of Transmission drop. Stock mine had two plates on both sides. Im guessing those rancho ones are bigger so maybe just use one? If you can get acceptable u joint angles without them than you are ok.
