A Motorcraft/Autolite 2100/2150 carburetors are cheap to pick up on eBay, and they are simple to work due to their similarities to a Holley carburetor. They are not cheap to have professionally rebuilt (BTW the person you're buying it from on eBay is NOT a professional) if you don't know how. They are not cheap to find parts for, because as much as they are similar to a Holley carburetor, the parts between a Holley and a Motorcraft/Autolite are not interchangeable (except the power valves). They are also not cheap and easy to install, as it requires completely reworking your throttle linkage and adapter plates and adapter gaskets to adapt the Rochester bolt pattern of your intake to the Holley bolt pattern of the MC2100 carb.

All of that being said, they are great carburetors that once tuned in correct, will run very will with minimal maintenance/tinkering.

There are other options;

Redline Weber lots and lots of AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l carb options, pretty good customer support and plentiful parts

Holley Sniper EFI direct bolt on replacement for the stock carb, a master kit gets you everything you need, but it's a little pricey.

OP, that would be Carter.

What carburetor upgrade is advised for a 1982 CJ7 6 Cylinder.
The latest hot setup is the Holley Sniper for Jeep CJ's. Much better than a carb as it does a better job of metering the fuel. It is particularly good if you are driving in the mountains at altitudes over 5000 ft on or off road.
