Dana 300 oil seal replacement help

1985 CJ7 with the Dana 300 t case, It has developed a pretty good leak from the front output shaft. The repair manual says i can replace the oil seal with the t case left installed in the jeep. After reading the manual it states i need a few special tools such as tool AMC C-3281 holder tool to remove the nut from the output shaft. Then a puller to remove the yoke, then use the puller to remove the felt seal, the oil seal and the gasket. Then I need tool amc W-143 a driver to re install the new seal. Has anyone done this job before? If so what can you tell me about it if anything?

You need a torque wrench and a gear puller for the yoke.
You will need to drain the oil.
A screwdriver will pry the seal out.
Seat the new seal in place with a section of pipe and re-install the yoke and torque to spec.

Well since I couldn't really find much info on this I decided to update this as i just finished replacing my front oil seal. Ordered the omix ada reseal kit for $22 shipped off ebay. I was quoted $300 by a local Aamco to do a reseal of the Dana 300 . I started out by removing the skid plate that holds up the tranny and Dana 300 . After removing it I placed a jack under the tranny to help relive the weight of just hanging there. Next I drained the oil from the t case and removed the yoke from the T case side and moved the drive shaft of to the side. Next you have to remove a nut and washer from the center of the output shaft coming off the t case. Next you need to remove the output shaft but first scribe a line in it and the t case so you can get it put in the same as it came out. My manual said to use a puller to remove the out put shaft, but there is no way to get it to grip anything so I just lightly tapped on it as I pulled it off and it slid right off. Next I removed the old metal seal with a screwdriver and my hammer. Cleaned up the inside with a rag to remove dirt an . Next I put a little grease on the new seal and lightly tapped it in once it was flush I got a piece of 2" pvc pipe and finished tapping it in until it was seated. I re installed the output shaft and nut and washer then put the drive shaft back together and refilled the T case with new fluid. re install the skid plate and done! Job took me less than 2 hours and I did NOT remove the T case!
