How much water do you play in??
90 wt Hypoid gear oil is minimum. If you are going to get water in it on a regular basis you may not want to use the high dollar synthetics. the biggest factor would be if you had a Limited slip or even a locking differential.

Carb or brake cleaner works great to get the old junk out and have a nice clean rear to start with...... I also used the Hypoid with Limited slip additive in mine since I took it off road (currently in resto). The Lucas Brand gear oil is great stuff, just remember that if you do submerge your axle at minimum you need to inspect your axles for water
