'79 Cj5, 258 with Howell Fuel injection kit, T18 with dana 20 Tcase, dana 30 front with Detroit locker, AMC 20 rear with LSD and one piece shafts, Warn 8k winch, 1" body lift, 2" suspension lift, 33 tires
How are you guys getting around high pinion angles with a longer Transmission ? I'm going to be running np435 with an adaptor to Dana 20 with the AMC20 rear end and a slight lift. I know it's been done numerous times. Any input on your set ups and what you run? Problems you encountered? Solutions to the problems?

I would suggest the use of a double cardian universal joint and point the differential pinion angle straight at it.

Is that the same as a cv driveshaft?

Gotcha. Just ordered a cv style rear yoke from Rob. Any ideas on ways to get the driveline? New? Used? Do you know what models or makes run them stock?

And if I am correct, I run the same yoke in the axle as u joint and everything bolts up?

First, the pinion angle has to be rotated. Then the driveshaft has to be cut to allow room for the CV joint to fit in. Since the driveshaft has to be balanced, you have to see the driveshaft guy, that's what I did. You could contact this guy:Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts - Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts Custom Driveshafts Specialist. There is probably a lot of info out on this topic, so do your research.
