dumb I6 to V8 question

dumb I6 to V8 question
Depends on the driver-My son has reactions faster than light speed.
His 401 is really at 'home' in the big sand dunes.

I see the need for serious power in the sand (or mud) especially running paddles. Also realistically you don't hit street type speeds.

Hagar - If that is yours or a buddies jeep, what kind of supercharger (with the belts in front it doesn't look like a turbo charger) is that? It has a bit of a cool yet crude look to it. I really can't see it being run in the horribly abrasive environment of sand dunes.

I've seen these before. It's basically a turbo without an exhaust housing and is run by belt or gears. You can clean the air in front of them with the right filter system.

I am amazed that California still allows people to play like that. Yes, I know, play some, the wind blows it away, play some more. But this is California and logic rarely means a thing there.

Until about 10 yrs ago, it was a no-cost open area to play. Now-we have to pay, to play.
Kinda like what they did to :censored:up the Anza Borrego area.
BTW: Those are the tallest dunes in the USA. Very 'soft' blow-sand and you really need to know how to 'read'em' to reach the top.

The dunes are the only place it spends it's time, Glamis or Dumont specifically.
Ain't nothing "crude" on that buddies Jeep.
Hazel did a write-up on it in JP a few years ago.

EDIT: It's a supercharger.
Engine nerds get sensitive when cameras are around.
The bracket is proprietary and he didn't want it shown.
